These Terms govern your access to and use of RO Filter Care. By accessing the service or signing in, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who operates RO Filter Care
RO Filter Care is operated by M. D. White (“RO Filter Care,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). You may contact us at app@rofiltercare.com.
2. What the service does
RO Filter Care helps users organize reverse osmosis system information, calculate maintenance dates from user-selected intervals, record completed service, and export schedules. Features may change as the service develops.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use RO Filter Care. Access to the application currently requires a ChatGPT account and authentication provided through OpenAI. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity performed through it. RO Filter Care is an independent service and is not endorsed by or affiliated with OpenAI.
4. Your information and records
You retain ownership of the system details, notes, maintenance history, and other content you enter. You grant us a limited permission to store, process, reproduce, and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the service. You are responsible for the accuracy of your entries and should retain copies of records that are important to you.
5. Informational use only
RO Filter Care is an organizational tool. It does not provide plumbing, engineering, water-treatment, medical, health, or water-safety advice. Calculated dates and preset intervals are general planning aids and may not match your equipment, water conditions, local requirements, or manufacturer instructions.
You are responsible for reviewing the applicable manufacturer documentation, confirming filter compatibility and service procedures, testing water when appropriate, and using a qualified professional when needed. Do not rely on the service to determine whether water is safe to drink.
6. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce harmful code, use automated methods that place an unreasonable load on the service, violate another person’s rights, or use the service for unlawful purposes.
7. Our intellectual property
The RO Filter Care name, branding, software, page designs, graphics, diagrams, text, and other original service content are owned by M. D. White or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms permit personal use of the service; they do not transfer ownership or permit you to copy, resell, or commercially exploit the service or its content.
8. Third-party services and links
The service may depend on or link to third-party services, including authentication, hosting, calendar software, and filter vendors. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, privacy practices, products, or transactions. A link does not imply endorsement.
9. Availability, changes, and termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, and we may restrict access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or operation of the service. You may stop using the service at any time. To request deletion of your stored RO Filter Care account data, email app@rofiltercare.com.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or accurate, or that schedules, reminders, exports, or saved records will prevent missed maintenance, equipment damage, leaks, contamination, or other loss.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RO Filter Care and M. D. White will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, use, profits, property, or goodwill arising from the service. Our total liability for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RO Filter Care and M. D. White from claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Pennsylvania, and you consent to that court’s jurisdiction, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms with a new effective date. Your continued use after an update becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. General terms
If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service.
